06 Nov Conference ”Sarajevo Wood Days 5” 2023, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
At the two-day 5th International Wood-Technology Conference ”Sarajevo Wood Days 5”, held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 2-3, 2023. which brought together participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Austria and Germany, the company ”NIGOS-elektronik” presented itself for the first time as a silver sponsor. The conference included panel discussions and presentations on current topics in the field of forestry, wood industry and furniture production, investments in the wood sector and renewable energy sources from wood – biomass.
The company’s CEO, Miljan Nikolić, presented the innovations and technical solutions that we apply in our wood drying kilns and steaming chambers in order to save thermal and electric energy, increase energy efficiency and reduce of CO2 emissions within the presentation ”Drying in the service of man and the planet”. After the presentation, he participated in the panel discussion ”Situation in the wood industry sector” and on that occasion pointed out the importance of cooperation with the forestry faculties in the region and the importance of personnel education in the wood industry. Organizing such conferences is an attempt to overcome the current situation, especially when it comes to the wood industry sector, with the risk of recession affecting the countries of Western Europe, to whose markets the majority of users of our drying kilns and steaming chambers export.
