Wood-Technology Conference 2024, Opatija, Croatia

The 21st Wood-Technology Conference was held on June 3 and 4, 2024 in Opatija, Croatia. As in the previous eight years, we actively participated in the work of the conference and successfully presented ourselves as the only exhibitor from Serbia as a silver sponsor.

The topics of this year’s conference were adapted to the market situation, and the key sectoral issue that arose was solving the challenges related to climate change, as well as the impact of new EU policies on the forestry sector. Despite the mentioned challenges, announcements of some optimistic predictions of stabilising market trends during 2024 could also be heard.

It was precisely on these topics that the conversation about the success of ”How are Croatian pellet stoves and Serbian wood drying kilns sold all over the world?” was held with Miljan Nikolić, CEO of the company. Miljan Nikolić pointed out that, due to the drastic drop in demand for drying kilns in Western Europe, we had to turn to new markets in South America (Chile, Peru, French Guiana), Turkey and Egypt. He also emphasized that our dehumidifying (condensing) drying kilns, which run on electricity, in combination with solar panels are a green investment and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the finished product (CFP).
