Moisture meter RVD-905A is a universal measuring instrument designed for measuring the moisture content in sawn timber, timber boards, pallets and sawdust, for measuring the moisture in concrete and other solid building materials (mortar, plaster, gypsum), as well as for measuring air temperature and relative humidity.
The universality of this moisture meter is reflected in the fact that it supports the measurement of moisture content in all types of wood and timber, both fine finished and roughed, and all levels of moisture. To measure the moisture content, probes (electrodes) are used, which are simply and easily placed in the measured sample using sliding hammer, which is part of the equipment. The measurement itself is based on the electrical resistance measurement method. A more precise determination of the type of wood whose moisture is measured is done by selecting one of the 4 standard groups, which cover almost all known wood species. In this way, the necessary correction is made according to the specifics of the type of wood and, with the temperature setting, ensures high-quality and reliable measurement.
The moisture content in sawdust is measured using a sawdust moisture measuring device VP-02 or VP-01 in combination with the RVD-905A moisture meter. The sawdust in these devices is pressed uniformly using special mechanisms, and for high-quality measurement it is enough to set the sawdust temperature on the RVD-905A moisture meter.
With special probes, moisture meter RVD-905A also supports the measurement of moisture in concrete, gypsum, plaster and various types of mortar, with appropriate parameter setting for the type of material. The RVD-905A provides measurement of 6 different types of solid building materials.
In addition to the mentioned materials, the device can optionally measure air temperature and relative humidity with DSVT-05A probe. The probe is equipped with a high-quality sensor and does not require any special settings.
Battery power and complete equipment ensure sufficient autonomy for comfortable work in the field in the wood or construction industry. Battery consumption is very low. The moisture meter is easy to operate, and all of the above characterizes the RVD-905A as a precise, accurate and reliable device.

ADDITIONAL PROBES (optional):
The sawdust moisture measuring device VP-02 consists of a stainless steel container that is placed and connected to the side of the RVD-905A moisture meter during measurement. Sawdust in container is compressed under pressure to allow moisture measurement. The device has a system for uniformly pressing sawdust, which guarantees a proper and reliable measurement.
The sawdust moisture measuring device VP-01 consists of a aluminium cylinder on which the RVD-905A moisture meter is placed and connected during measurement. Sawdust in cylinder is compressed under pressure to allow moisture measurement. The device has a mechanical assembly in order to prevent damage to the device and ensure uniform pressure, which guarantees a proper and reliable measurement.
Probes for measuring the moisture in concrete and other solid building materials (mortar, plaster, gypsum…) are used with the device RVD-905A. The probes (pair) are placed in the appropriate holes in the material whose moisture is being measured and connected to the moisture meter. Moisture content is determined based on electrical resistance measurements. Measurement is quick and simple.
Portable probe DSVT-05A measures air temperature and relative humidity. The probe connects to the moisture meter, so the measurement is quick and simple. The probe is suitable for use in various production plants, drying kilns, as well as for use in the field.
